This program review is all about the Lightyear Alliance Cell Phone plan. On August 4, 2008, I purchased my cell phone with the understanding that I would receive a $50.00 rebate. The cell phone cost $89.99, with $5.99 for Shipping and handling. I purchased the $34.99 package, which was suppose to have 300 anytime minutes, and voice mail. My credit card was billed for $95.98, which was the cost of the phone and shipping and handling. In less then three day I was surprised to receive my phone. The phone was activated around August 8th, and I called and request my $50.00 cell phone rebate, which I have never received. On August 23, 2008 I received a bill for $103.81 Paper Invoice fee .99 Lightyear wireless phone 89.99 Wireless Phone Shipping 5.99 Wireless Activation Fee 35.00 Wireless Voice 34.99 plus tax 2.81 Pro Rata Wireless Voice 10.16 plus tax 1.35 Used 120 and charged $5.00 for usage Taxes and surcharges $6.25 Misc Fees Fed and regu $11.42 Total payment of $103.81
